From ‘The Western Daily Mercury’- 16th November 1876 By-the-way I hear that London will this year cease to be a port for the embarkation of emigrants. The depot at Blackwall is to be given up and consequently all the people will assemble at the Plymouth depot and the vessels be despatched from here, including those for New Zealand. Our depot master, Mr. Watson, has at present enough to do and I don’t know how he will manage then. | |
