Conspicuous at the east end of the of Hooe Lake, and lying just off-shore, is the almost complete framework of a large lighter, from which much of the hull planking has been removed. A dump barge formerly owned by Bayly’s the timber importer. She did her work in tow of Bayly’s small tug ‘Alice’.
