History:The haste with which this vessel was built it necessitated the use of unseasoned timber and fell to pieces and saw no service at all.
1st January 1856. As from this date all gunboats were commissioned as impendent commanders with a crew of 36 men and officers.
20th March 1856. Commanded by Lieutenant Commander William Henry Jones.
23rd April 1856. Present at Fleet Review, Spithead.
19th July 1856. Paid off at Portsmouth.
8th September 1864. Sold to Messrs. Habgood. Broken up.
